or student's chosen project*

Working up studies first to formulate a winning idea, students will learn how to choose and map out a portfolio worthy piece. Utilizing group brainstorming, teacher input as well as studying successful artists, they will create a piece that shows skill, mastery of medium, intrigue and/or narrative. Students may work on one or multiple related works.

Create a book                                       9am-1pm        July 14-17       or student's chosen project*

Students will learn how to turn their ideas into a simple story and illustrate it with unique art work, create a comic strip or make a book for journalling. Whatever the choice, students will learn how to plan and then execute their ideas to a final finished piece by tapping into their imagination and investigating how narrative and art intersect.
